The question being asked is based in current reality. You are welcome to wish for anything you want though.

Why should I as a user choose between two amazing products? The right question (and my wish) should be submitted to Adobe: – Feel free to create two systems, but image data and synchronization must be seamless (LR/LRC files should be 100% similar), that workflow is compliant (no deviations), as well as those features/properties are developed and made available for the right devices.
Then I love to use LR for my mobile / web and my LRC for my main computer. Because everything is equal.

You’re right that there is no print module (or any modules for that matter) in Lr. Your options for printing are to use one of the “connections” to print to an online lab (https://lightroomkillertips.com/making-connections-in-lightroom/) or use Lr for editing and cropping to desired print aspect ratio, then export copy to be printed using some other software. That sounds burdensome, but Canon (and I think Epson and possibly HP) has a decent standalone print app for Mac and Windows that can give you the control of the LrC Print module using the exported copies from Lr for local printing. I’ve even sent prints from Lr on my phone to my Canon Pro-1000 using the Canon iOS app for printing.

Please cover printing in one of the future Lr v LrC comparisons. Here’s why I am interested:

I started using Lightroom when it was v2. I currently have ~100,000 photos. Once the sync feature was available, I tried and tried to get it to work so I could view my pictures on my phone and iPad. I was never able to get it to completely sync…. I went the multiple Lightroom versions and spent years trying, throwing out photos that broke the sync, catalog rebuillds, etc. Then I gave up and tried using Apple Photos… but it failed in it’s promise to sync between devices as well. So after a year with Apple Photos, I moved back to LrC and again and still could not get sync completely sync all my photos. So I tried Lr (it was CC then I think.) I had to move the files into Lr in batches of 1,000 or less, but finally got them moved over and ever since then sync with my phone and iPad work. So am I happy? No, because….

There is no print module in Lr! How can this be?? Basically, I have to use the iPhones share feature and tell it to print. Lr offers no help whatsoever. I miss the ability to adjust the exposure before printing, the ability to print multiple files (fairly) easily, etc. I’m really hoping you tell me Lr printing works well and teach me that I am missing something!

But to each his own.

Paying monthly rent *in perpetuity* to Adobe is offensive.
